⚡🎈 Sparks of Learning in 7th Grade Science! 🎈⚡ Our 7th-grade scientists were CHARGED UP about science today! 🧪 Using balloons and tissue paper, students explored the fascinating world of static electricity! Through hands-on experimentation, they discovered how electric charges interact and how objects can attract one another without even touching! Who knew a balloon and a little tissue paper could make science so exciting?! 🎈⚡ Hands-on learning + curious minds = ELECTRIFYING discoveries! 🔬💡

🦇🧬 Going Batty for Genetics in 8th Grade Science! 🧬🦇 Our 8th-grade scientists went a little BATTY today while exploring genetics and inherited traits! Students flipped coins to determine the phenotypes (observable characteristics) of their very own bats! 🪙 Each flip helped determine how different traits would be expressed, creating a unique combination of characteristics. Once their bats’ traits were determined, students brought their creations to life through drawings! 🎨🦇 This hands-on activity helped students explore how chance plays a role in inheritance and why individuals can have such different characteristics! No two bats were quite alike, and that’s the beauty of genetics! 🧬✨

Congratulations to Mrs. Funk's Kindergarten Class!



For the month of October, Ms. Funk's class earned the highest number of PBIS votes from teachers and staff across the entire school! Because of their outstanding behavior, kindness, and positive choices, they have earned the title of ReMax Peak PBIS Class of the Month! What a way to start off the school year.

Mr. Carter's American History class was discussing the Progressive Era today and learning about Henry Ford's assembly line, by producing "Whatz Its, first individually then by using an assembly line.

More Trojans to celebrate! Congratulations to Claire Hill on her KMAC All-Academic honor and Molly Henry, Mason Shaw, Bram Hodge, and Corbin Netting on their Cross Country Honorable Mention recognition—a great addition to our fall KMAC awards!

The Centerburg FFA Chapter loaded up 12 members and headed to Indianapolis, IN to join the other 70 thousand FFA members in attendance to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the National FFA Convention! The trip was full of experiences and activities that the members will remember for the rest of their lives! The Centerburg FFA Chapter would like to thank all of our sponsors and supporters that make trips like this possible. Best of luck to all the FFA Chapters as we move into the 100th year of the FFA!!!

🐝 Spelling Bee Success! 🐝 Congratulations to our Centerburg spellers who competed in the Knox County Virtual Spelling Bee yesterday! A special congratulations to Willow Barnard, who earned Runner-Up, and Remy Bishop, who was crowned County Champion! 🎉 Both girls will advance to the Mid-Ohio Spelling Bee on November 10th, where they’ll compete against spellers from Crawford, Morrow, and Richland counties. We are so proud of you both! Best of luck at the next level, ladies! 🐝❤️
