From the Principal

Welcome to the Centerburg Middle School webpage. I hope you find it helpful. We are very proud of our school and consider it one of the best small schools in Ohio. We have approximately 300 students in grades 6, 7 and 8. Our school has been rated effective by the Ohio Department of Education, and we believe our students are well prepared to accept the challenges that are presented in high school and post secondary courses.

Because we like to focus on the great things our students do, we have instituted a Positive Behavior Support program. We like to recognize those students who make our school such a great place to come and learn. Our program called the TROJAN 4CE, recognizes and rewards student for doing good deeds and helping others.

We also have a Renaissance program that recognizes students for academic success. Students who are on the honor roll for one semester receive a T-shirt, are entered into a drawing on "Renaissance Wednesdays," and are awarded cash prizes if their name is drawn. This program is funded through community members as well as concession sales during the football season.

As you can see we want our students to strive to succeed academically and learn to be a positive part of our school community. Through these and other programs, we may reach our schools mission to "provide positive learning experiences for all children in order to encourage high scholastic achievement and good citizenship."

Our doors are always open to any parent, community member, political member, or other educators who would like to come and visit. If you are considering moving into our district we very much would like to meet you and allow us to show you why this is a great school district in which to live. Please feel free to come to the school office and we will be glad to show you around.

If you require additional information that you cannot find on these pages please call us at 625-6055 during normal business hours or you may call at anytime and leave a voice mail and we will be sure to get back to you.
